About the Role
Gewape Cloud Group is looking for a creative, proactive, and commercially minded Country Marketing Officer to strengthen our market presence in Rwanda.
As Country Marketing Officer for Rwanda, you will be responsible for executing marketing activities across the Rwanda market, creating locally relevant content, building brand awareness, supporting lead generation, developing industry relationships, identifying market opportunities, and representing Gewape Cloud Group within the local technology and business ecosystem.
This is a hands-on role.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable moving between digital marketing, content creation, photography and video, events, market research, relationship building, and campaign execution.
You will not simply manage social media. You will help build Gewape Cloud Group's presence and commercial visibility within your market.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Campaigns
- Develop and execute country-specific marketing activities aligned with Group objectives.
- Localize Group campaigns for the local market.
- Develop campaigns to increase brand awareness, customer engagement, and qualified leads.
- Support product launches, market-entry activities, promotions, and other commercial initiatives.
- Maintain a monthly marketing and content calendar.
Content Creation
- Create original content about Gewape Cloud Group, its brands, infrastructure, customers, partnerships, and activities.
- Write social media posts, articles, customer stories, interviews, case studies, newsletters, and other marketing content.
- Translate technical concepts into clear and engaging business-focused communication.
- Identify relevant stories and content opportunities within the local market.
Social Media & Digital Marketing
- Create and publish locally relevant social media content.
- Support management of the Group's professional digital presence.
- Monitor engagement, messages, mentions, and relevant industry conversations.
- Support email marketing, website campaigns, SEO, and digital lead-generation activities.
- Track campaign performance and recommend improvements.
Photography, Video & Creative Content
- Capture professional photographs and videos of company activities, events, infrastructure, customers, and partnerships where appropriate.
- Produce short-form videos, interviews, reels, and product demonstrations.
- Create basic graphics and digital marketing materials.
- Edit photography and video content for publication.
- Maintain an organized library of local marketing assets.
Events & Market Presence
- Identify relevant technology, business, FinTech, telecommunications, cybersecurity, cloud, startup, and digital transformation events.
- Coordinate Gewape Cloud Group's participation in relevant local events.
- Represent the company at approved industry activities.
- Produce pre-event, live-event, and post-event marketing content.
- Identify potential customers, partners, and industry relationships from events.
- Support company-hosted workshops, webinars, customer sessions, and product demonstrations.
Lead Generation
- Develop marketing activities that generate qualified customer inquiries.
- Support campaigns targeting relevant customer segments.
- Capture and record marketing-generated leads.
- Coordinate with commercial teams to support lead follow-up.
- Track marketing contribution to the commercial pipeline.
Partnerships & Ecosystem Development
- Develop relationships with relevant technology communities, industry associations, universities, innovation hubs, professional organizations, media, and ecosystem partners.
- Identify opportunities for joint campaigns, events, partnerships, and educational initiatives.
- Strengthen Gewape Cloud Group's presence within the local technology ecosystem.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor local cloud computing, data-centre, telecommunications, cybersecurity, AI, and digital infrastructure developments.
- Monitor competitors and their market activities.
- Track relevant regulatory, data residency, and technology developments.
- Identify emerging customer requirements and market opportunities.
- Provide regular market intelligence to Group management.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Journalism, Digital Media, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Previous experience in marketing, communications, digital marketing, content creation, or a related role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Experience creating professional digital and social media content.
- Basic graphic design skills.
- Photography and short-form video creation/editing capability.
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills.
- Ability to independently plan and execute marketing activities.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
